Policy	Protecting our environment and improving Quality of life will be integral to everything that Green Party will do in Government. With this goal in mind the Green Party will use all international agreements and diplomatic opportunities to close MOX, the THORP and Sellafield reprocessing plants and to halt the transport of spent nuclear fuel through the Irish Sea. We insist that decommissioning of Sellafield and all British nuclear plants must commence immediately. Additionally, we will work for a sustainable, non-nuclear EU energy policy to replace the present pro-nuclear focus of the Euratom Treaty.
