DUN LAOGHAIRE SHOPPING CENTRE REFURBISHMENT PLANS WELCOMED BY GREEN PARTY

Councillor Ciarán Cuffe of the Green Party has welcomed the plans by Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre to refurbish their premises. 

“This is  step in the right direction” stated Cllr. Cuffe. “I am hoping that they will open up a view of the sea which would make the Centre a more pleasant place to shop in.”

“When the Shopping Centre opened twenty years ago it was seen as a step forward. It looks very dated. The addition of daylight through sky-lights or roof light would be welcomed.”

“I am also hoping that Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Council will introduce wider footpaths outside the Centre as part of the scheme so that cafes can provide outside tables for their customers.
