Greens Welcome Bewley’s Announcement

The Green Party has welcomed today’s announcement that Bewley’s Café in Grafton Street will re-open as a café.

Green Party Environment spokesperson, Ciarán Cuffe TD, stated: “Sherland Entertainments have a track record in taking over the former Bewley’s Café on South Great Georges Street in Dublin 2, and running it under the name ‘Café Bar Deli.’

“I wish them well with the Grafton Street café. I have no doubt that they can run the Grafton Street as a thriving Parisian style Bistro. Hopefully the spirit as well as the name of Bewley’s will live on.

“I am looking forward to visiting Bewley’s again  ‘for coffee at eleven, after a stroll in Stephen's Green.’
