Urban Development Policy

The Green Party firmly believes that corruption and rezoning has imposed a

terrible cost on new communities, and now is the time to reclaim planning for the people.

The Party's Urban Development Policy provides for the setting up of a new land-use and planning agency.

This new body would co-ordinate transport investment with planning policies. It also places communities

Crime and Justice

Covering a wide range of issues from tackling anti-social behaviour, to reform of the prison system

and An Garda Síochána, fighting organised crime and providing for the victims of crime,

the Green Party Crime and Justice Policy focuses on both the reasons for

Valuing Families - Policy on Marriage and Partnership Rights

The Green Party launched an innovative policy today calling for same-sex marriage,

civil partnerships for both same-sex and heterosexual couples, and legal rights for couples who live together.

The Party believes legislative changes are necessary to ensure equality for all, to offer protection

for the contemporary family and to provide a legal framework in areas including taxation,
