Minister For Transport:
The Department of Transport paid out €682,000 approximately in car
mileage expenses in 2004, of which approximately €503,000 relates to
driver testing costs.
It is necessary to amend our financial
system to generate the specific report on total mileage for Department of
Transport staff in 2004 requested by the Deputy. This is being done by our
software contractors and the information will be passed directly to the
Deputy.
