Ciarán Cuffe asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will identify the source of the figures that he used to claim (details supplied) that Ireland’s insulation standards for new dwellings are among the highest in the European Union; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government: Data cited in my press statement of 6 April 2005 were contained in a report on insulation levels and elemental heat energy loss, produced by the European Insulation Manufacturers Association, EURIMA.
